  • Two (2) years of continuous experience as a full-time Structural Firefighter/EMT.
  • Pro Board or IFSAC Firefighter I certification (or higher).
  • Pro Board or IFSAC Hazardous Materials Operations certification (or higher).
  • State of Colorado EMT – EMT Basic or National Registry EMT certification and the ability to obtain Colorado State certification within one (1) month of hire.

The Louisville Fire Protection District (LFPD) proudly serves the Louisville, Colorado community from three strategically located fire stations in beautiful Boulder County. LFPD is currently accepting applications for Lateral Firefighter/EMT positions to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled, collaborative team dedicated to protecting and serving our community at the highest level. Successful candidates will be placed at the grade level based on their experience, certifications, and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Valid, unrestricted Colorado driver’s license (or ability to obtain within one month of hire)
  • Two (2) years of continuous experience as a full-time Structural Firefighter/EMT
  • Pro Board or IFSAC Firefighter I certification (or higher)

  • State of Colorado EMT – EMT Basic or National Registry EMT certification and the ability to obtain Colorado State certification within one (1) month of hire.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings (background check, drug screening, physical, psychological evaluation)
Post-Employment Requirements
  • Successful completion of the district condensed academy
  • Completion of the following within one year of hire:
    • NIMS I-100, I-200, IS-700
    • NWCG S-130/S-190
    • LFPD EMS Field Instruction Program
    • IV Certification
  • Maintain annual fitness and physical standards
  • Maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license

$86,116 - Grade 4 $89,991 - Grade 4

$91,857 - Grade 3 $95,991 - Grade 3

$103,340 - Grade 2 $107,990 - Grade 2

$114,822 - Grade 1 $119,989 - Grade 1
