Town of Haw River seeks qualified candidates for the position of Firefighter/Driver. The role requires NC Firefighter and EMT certifications, HazMat operations, and a Class B driver’s license (or to obtain within 6 months).

A high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of fire service experience are required. Strong physical condition and good communication skills are essential for public interaction.

Qualifications

• NC Firefighter Certification.
• NC EMT Certification.
• Hazardous Materials Operations Level.
• NC Class B Driver’s License or obtained within 6 months.
• Completion of a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 6 Months of Fire Service Experience.
• Excellent physical condition and visual acuity to read handwritten and typed material, operate terminals, inspect parts and use measurement devices.
• Ability to talk and hear to respond to the public and other employees.
