Job summary

Firestorm Wildland Fire Suppression is seeking a Firefighter II to perform initial and extended attack fire suppression, support prescribed fires, patrols, and project work. Crews range from three to 20 firefighters and operate with specialized equipment in strenuous conditions.

Certification in S-130/190/1-100/L-180 and completion of RT-130 are required, with the pack test for fitness. First year FF2 candidates may pursue FFT2 certification as outlined.

Qualifications

• Complete S-130/S-190/I-100/L-180 training.
• Pass work capacity fitness test (pack test).
• Complete Annual RT-130 training NOTE: Not required for first year FF2 Become certified as an FFT2.

Responsibilities

• Initial and extended attack fire suppression.
• Support prescribed fires and patrols.
• Project work and construction of fireline with hand tools.
• Mop up hotspots and operate mobile attack with engines.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity that combines hands-on work experience and skills training. As a Firefighter II you will be used for initial and extended attack fire suppression, support of prescribed fires, patrolling, and project work. Crewsrange in size from three to 20 firefighters and work with specialized firefighting equipment and perform many strenuous activities such as – mobile attack with engines, hose lay, construction of fireline with hand tools, burnout operations,and mopping up hotspots.
