Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA seeks a Firefighter 2 to join our team of professionals. The selected candidate performs firefighting and emergency response tasks, supports fire suppression and prevention, medical services, and hazardous spill response according to NFPA and government standards.

Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, Firefighter 1, HazMat Awareness and Operations, EMT-B certification, and eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Firefighter 1 certification, HazMat Awareness and Operations, and EMT-B certification required (CA or National Registry).
• Must obtain Airport Firefighter within 1 year and Firefighter 2 within a year of hire.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance and program access (PARs).

Responsibilities

• Performs firefighting and emergency response tasks with established protocols.
• Participates as a member of the emergency response unit in fire suppression, medical, and hazmat operations.
• Conducts inspections of fire extinguishers and fire systems (sprinklers, hydrants).
• Operates and maintains emergency response vehicles.
