Qualifications

One year of specialized experience directly related to firefighting duties.
DoD 6055.06-M Fire and Emergency Services Certification requirements.
State of Virginia EMT-B certification or National Registry with reciprocity eligibility.
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and valid state driver's license.
EVOC and Driver Operator - Aerial training within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

Perform firefighting duties including combating fires, operating hose lines, forced entries, and search and rescue.
Conduce hazardous materials response and decontamination operations.
Assist or perform rescue operations and basic life support as an EMT-B.
