Job summary

Hawaii Gas is seeking a crew member to perform routine and heavy manual labor for the gas transmission, supply, and distribution system. The role offers a progression path and requires rigorous safety adherence.

Under supervision, you will install, repair, and maintain equipment, drive when qualified, and keep detailed logs and reports. Emphasis on safety, PPE, and regulatory compliance throughout shifts and emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; technical schooling preferred.
• Must complete required DOT/OSHA courses.
• Must maintain minimum scores for recurring Federal/State courses.
• CDL, Class 3 license with no transmission restrictions.
• Must obtain CDL Class 4 by end of year one.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, relocation, repair, replacement of gas transmission, supply, and distribution systems using hand tools and equipment.
• Drive truck when qualified and assist in vehicle/equipment maintenance.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and PPE equipment.
• Follow EH&S rules and report unsafe conditions; maintain training records.
• Perform clerical tasks and log preventive maintenance as required.
