POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms, along with Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise. They perform various selling/customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers promptly and friendly, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction to customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. Provides a legendary experience by assisting customers in making buying decisions through:
   1. Identifying and evaluating customers’ needs,
   2. Making product recommendations based on this analysis,
   3. Promoting programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
2. Ensures 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
3. Demonstrates product to customers as needed.
4. Organizes and maintains merchandise within the store for sales at the Gun Counter.
5. Replenishes product on shelves as required by merchandising guidelines.
6. Remains knowledgeable about products through ongoing training.
7. Maintains awareness of advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
8. Assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
9. Keeps work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
10. Follows all company policies and procedures.
11. Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. 0-2 years of retail experience.
3. Must be 21 years of age or older.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. Product knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
2. Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
3. Experience in customer service and sales of firearms and ammunition.
4. Understanding of GCA regulations.
5. Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise effectively.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Constant standing and/or walking during shifts.
2. Occasional use of ladders, stairs, ramps.
3. Constant communication with others.
4. Occasional repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, fingers.
5. Occasional operation of machinery or power tools.
6. Occasional operation of motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
7. Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly, and up to 100 pounds with team lift.
8. Occasional work in tight spaces and noisy environments.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and some innovation. Makes recommendations on work procedures, policies, and practices.
