POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms, along with Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise. They perform various selling/customer service activities, including greeting customers, handling merchandise, providing information, and assisting with buying decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provide world-class customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience by identifying customer needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs like CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
2. Ensure 4473 Forms are completed accurately.
3. Demonstrate products to customers as needed.
4. Organize and maintain merchandise at the Gun Counter and replenish stock according to merchandising guidelines.
5. Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training.
6. Stay informed about current sales, pricing, and signage.
7. Assist with seasonal merchandise moves and keep the work area clean and stocked.
8. Follow all company policies and procedures.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 21 years or older.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Product knowledge of Firearms and Ammunition.
• Understanding of ATF Federal and State Regulations.
• Customer service and sales skills related to Firearms and Ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA regulations.
• Ability to merchandise and stock products.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Constant standing and walking during shifts.
• Occasional use of ladders, stairs, and ramps.
• Frequent communication with others.
• Occasional repetitive motions with wrists, hands, or fingers.
• Occasional operation of machinery or power tools.
• Ability to lift objects up to 20 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds with team lifts.
• Occasional work in confined spaces and noisy environments.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and some innovation. Makes recommendations for work procedures and policies.
