Job summary

Palmetto State Armory is seeking a Part Time Sales Associate for the Columbia store. You will assist customers with purchasing selections including firearms, Class III items, ammunition, outdoor gear, and apparel, greet customers promptly, and maintain a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, completing 4473 forms with accuracy, maintaining product knowledge, meeting sales goals, and coordinating with the store manager and department leads.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous sales or customer service experience.
• High attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of 4473 paperwork and the FBI NICS system preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high customer volume.
• Cash handling and previous cash register experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication both orally and written.
• Ability to lead, motivate, mentor, communicate and interact with people positively.
• Positive attitude, goal driven and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with purchasing selections of firearms, Class III items, ammunition, tactical, hunting, outdoor equipment and apparel.
• Greet customers promptly as they approach the work area.
• Resolve customer issues to the best of your ability.
• Maintain the store (sweeping, dusting, restocking, fronting, etc.).
• Complete Federal Firearms Transfer Records (4473) and related documents with 100% accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of product offerings to advise customers effectively.
• Remain impartial in sales decisions and focus on customer satisfaction.
• Efficiently close sales to meet store goals.
• Report to the store manager and receive daily duties from the Department Lead.
• Follow directions and perform all other duties as assigned.
