The Office of the Attorney General in Virginia seeks a PROTECT Coordinator for Industry Accountability to strengthen firearm industry accountability and support enforcement efforts with data-driven analysis.

You will collaborate with the FAIR Section, researchers, investigators, and law enforcement to gather information, identify trends, and develop strategic recommendations for OAG leadership.

Competenze

  • Five or more years of professional experience in criminal justice, public policy, investigations, legal support, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of firearms policy, gun violence, consumer protection, and industry accountability is preferred.
  • Ability to build partnerships across agencies and manage complex grant-funded programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting on sensitive issues.

Mansioni

  • Support implementation of the firearm industry accountability strategy.
  • Coordinate research on manufacturers, distributors, dealers, trafficking patterns, and industry practices affecting public safety.
  • Organize and track information for enforcement and accountability efforts with attorneys, investigators, and external partners.
  • Maintain organized records, research data, partner information, and project deliverables.
  • Identify trends and emerging issues related to firearm commerce and gun crime.
  • Coordinate meetings and information sharing with law enforcement, researchers, national partners, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, briefing materials, and strategic recommendations for OAG leadership.
  • Track the progress and outcomes of industry accountability initiatives.
  • Support cross-agency projects connecting enforcement, prevention, research, and public education.
