The Virginia Office of the Attorney General seeks a Senior Investigator in the Firearms Accountability and Industry Responsibility Unit to lead civil and regulatory investigations tied to firearm industry practices and enforcement actions under HB21/SB27. The role emphasizes diligent data analysis, thorough reporting, and cross‑agency collaboration.

Preference is for a Richmond base with potential postings in a regional office such as Virginia Beach, Fairfax, Abingdon, or Roanoke, reporting to

Competenze

Ability to conduct thorough, objective, and timely civil, criminal, regulatory, or compliance investigations.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify patterns from records and data.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including investigative reports.
Ability to work with attorneys, law enforcement, regulatory partners, businesses, witnesses, and the public.
