Job summary

SERVPRO Team Carpenter is seeking an experienced Fire & Water Restoration Technician in California. This role focuses on hands-on fire and water mitigation for residential and commercial losses, including extraction, drying, demolition, and containment.

You will document jobs, operate restoration equipment, and uphold safety standards. This is not an entry-level position, with opportunities for advancement within an established restoration team and steady, year-round work based on restoration

Qualifications

• Professional fire and/or water mitigation experience required.
• Familiarity with restoration equipment and drying processes.
• Experience with extraction, demolition, containment and equipment setup.
• Ability to recognize job priorities and work with limited supervision.
• IICRC certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to residential and commercial fire and water losses.
• Perform water extraction and mitigation.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment.
• Perform demolition and material removal.
• Set up containment and follow PPE/safety procedures.
• Work in attics, crawlspaces and confined areas when needed.
• Complete job notes, photos and required documentation.

RESTORATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

SERVPRO® Team Carpenter is hiring an experienced Fire & Water Restoration Technician.

This position is intended for candidates who have professional, hands-on experience working fire and/or water mitigation jobs.

If you have worked with extraction equipment, air movers, dehumidifiers, containment, demolition, moisture documentation, and active mitigation projects, we want to talk to you.

This is not an entry-level position.

What You'll Be Doing

• Respond to residential and commercial fire and water losses
• Perform water extraction and mitigation
• Set up and monitor drying equipment
• Perform demolition and material removal
• Set up containment and follow proper PPE and safety procedures
• Work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas when necessary

• Drive company vehicles to jobs throughout our service area

What We’re Looking For

• Previous professional fire and/or water mitigation experience required
• Familiarity with restoration equipment and drying processes
• Experience with extraction, demolition, containment, and equipment setup
• Ability to recognize job priorities and work with limited supervision
• IICRC certifications are a plus
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Professional communication and documentation skills

Position Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to meet company driving requirements for operation of company vehicles
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly
• Comfortable working on ladders and in confined spaces
• Able to perform physically demanding work in wet, dirty, and changing environments
• Ability to successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening following a conditional offer of employment
