Job summary

Rosenbauer South Dakota LLC in Lyons, SD is seeking a Cab Electrical Technician to install and maintain 12V electrical systems in cab and chassis units. You will wire lights, sirens, displays, and communication equipment, and install engine and body harnesses with corrosion protection.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to deliver dependable results. Requires high school diploma/GED and knowledge of low voltage wiring; day shift, on-site work; equal opportunity

Qualifications

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: High school diploma/GED required.
Skills: Language: ability to read and interpret documents; Math: basic arithmetic and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

Works on electrical components of backend, front, and sides of the fire truck chassis.
Installs engine, dash, and body harnesses according to specifications.
Installs and routes wires/cables for installation of lights, display, switches, and heat exchange.
Applies corrosion preventative and pressure protection to ensure longevity.
Performs tasks according to the spec book.
Completes engine heat exchange unit installation.
Installs foot switches, light bars, antennas, and programs accordingly.
Uses Alison and other programs to tune engine, lights, and transmission to specifications.
Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
