Job summary

ServiceMaster CDR in Warren, OH is seeking a Fire & Contents Restoration Technician to join our elite team. This full-time role covers fire and smoke damage restoration, demolition, contents cleaning, equipment setup, and debris removal.

You will document job progress using restoration software, work with homeowners and insurance adjusters, and maintain a safe, organized site. A valid driver’s license is required; IICRC FSRT & OCT certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Some hands-on experience in fire or smoke damage restoration.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Solid customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined or challenging spaces, and wear PPE when required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Tech-savvy and able to learn or use mobile devices and job-tracking software.
• IICRC FSRT & OCT certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Demolish and restore fire/smoke damage, including contents cleaning and debris removal.
• Pack, move, clean, and restore belongings and contents.
• Operate restoration tools and equipment safely and properly.
• Document progress and inventory using restoration software.
• Coordinate with homeowners, managers, and insurance adjusters.
• Maintain a clean, organized worksite and vehicles.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform all aspects of fire and smoke damage restoration, including demolition, structural cleaning, contents cleaning, equipment setup, pack-outs, and debris removal
• Safely pack, move, clean, and restore fire-damaged personal belongings and commercial contents
• Operate a variety of restoration tools and equipment, ensuring proper use and care
• Accurately document job progress, inventory, and customer interactions using restoration software (e.g., Contents Track, iCAT, Restore 365)
• Work directly with homeowners, property managers, insurance adjusters, and project leads to ensure smooth, high-quality service delivery
• Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean and professional worksite, and keep company vehicles and equipment ready and organized
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency situations as needed
