Amentum is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Technician as a key member of a multi-skilled team to safely and effectively maintain facility infrastructure and critical systems at OASIS. This role involves technical repair and maintenance of fire alarm equipment, including planning, organization, coordination, scheduling, and resource management.

You will be responsible for completing fire system maintenance tasks efficiently, identifying deficiencies, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement. Working closely with the Facilities Operations Team and other departments, you will ensure reliable and effective maintenance of facility systems.

Responsibilities

  1. Inspect, test, and maintain fire systems and infrastructure according to standards.
  2. Perform repairs and installations of fire systems and infrastructure.
  3. Program Notifier systems.
  4. Coordinate life safety system impairments with operational and maintenance personnel.
  5. Maintain comprehensive understanding of relevant infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
  6. Inspect fire extinguishers.
  7. Train site incident response personnel on life safety systems.
  8. Perform other duties as required.
  9. Possess NICET II or III certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
  10. Understand WSH Act, EHS policies, and procedures.
  11. Experience in Facility Maintenance or similar technical environment.
  12. Knowledge of electrical infrastructure and electronic equipment terminology.
  13. Understanding of facilities equipment, O&M requirements, and maintenance practices.

Desirable Qualifications

  1. NICET I or II in Fire Special Hazards.
  2. NICET I or II in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems.
  3. Experience with Notifier systems.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
  • Experience with diverse fire systems and suppression equipment is highly regarded.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be medically fit to perform physical tasks, including carrying moderate to heavy loads and accessing maintenance environments.

Security Clearance

Employees must obtain and retain the appropriate security and medical clearances. US employees require a TS/SCI clearance with poly.

Work and EHS Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to procedures.
