Job summary

Ahern is seeking a Fire Systems and Equipment Service Sales Manager in Des Moines, IA. You will lead a team of sales professionals, drive growth in owner-direct accounts, and align sales with service operations to ensure smooth transitions from sales to execution.

The role focuses on strategy for Fire Alarm/Special Hazards and Fire Extinguisher/Pre-Engineered lines, while meeting evolving customer needs and boosting overall sales performance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a service-related sales position.
• Some management oversight of team members.
• Technical experience with Fire Alarm & Special Hazards product lines.
• Experience working with owner-direct customers is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Maximize growth of sales and margin dollars with owner-direct customers in the Des Moines market.
• Provide vision and strategic development of sales planning and execution for Fire Alarm/Special Hazards and Fire Extinguisher/Pre-Engineered lines.
• Directly manage a team of sales professionals, set quotas, mentor, and onboard new talent.
• Facilitate team meetings to ensure cross-selling and that product line sales stay on track.
• Partner with Service Operations to create seamless transitions from sales to operations.
• Meet with customers to discuss evolving needs and assess the quality of relationships.
• Develop and implement new sales programs, initiatives, and marketing campaigns.
