Job summary

Firetrol Protection Systems, Inc. is looking for a Fire Systems Helper to join a team of experienced professionals. You will assist with inspections, testing and preventive maintenance of fire protection systems under supervision.

The role involves helping with installation, service and diagnosis of fire alarm and sprinkler systems, and requires readiness for overtime, nights, weekends, and on-call hours. Training will be provided and some licenses may be required.

Qualifications

• Work experience, training or education in the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of fire protection systems or related equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
• Must be able to work at the IAH Airport.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain any applicable state licenses.
• Experience installing Conduit both EMT and Rigid is preferred.
• A current Driver’s License is preferred.
• Must be able to satisfy Government, Federal and Customs background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the diagnoses and evaluation of systems that require servicing as well as assisting in troubleshooting issues that arise during inspections.
• Assist in the documentation of inspection findings and recommendations.
• Assist with the installation of fire alarm equipment and the service, repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems under direct supervision of a licensed technician.
• Assist with diagnosing and evaluating industrial fire protection systems that require servicing as well as troubleshoot issues that arise during inspections under direct supervision of a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.
• Interact with customers, contractors, vendors and other employees in a respectful, professional manner.
• Some overtime, nights, weekends and on-call hours may be required.
