Job summary

Firetrol Protection Systems, Inc. in Lake Charles, LA, seeks a Fire Systems Helper to support the installation, testing and maintenance of fire alarm, sprinkler and extinguishing systems under supervision.

You will assist licensed technicians on-site, document findings, and interact with customers and vendors. Training will be provided; some overtime, nights and weekends may be required; a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Training will be provided.
• Must be able to work at the IAH Airport.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain any applicable state licenses.
• Experience installing Conduit both EMT and Rigid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of fire protection systems under direct supervision.
• Assist in diagnosing and evaluating systems that require servicing during inspections.
• Assist with installation of fire alarm equipment and service, repair and maintenance under supervision.
• Assist with documenting inspection findings and recommendations.
• Interact with customers, contractors and vendors in a respectful, professional manner.

• Assist in the performance of routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of fire protection systems - fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems and extinguishing systems under direct supervision.
• Assist in the diagnoses and evaluation of systems that require servicing as well as assisting in troubleshooting issues that arise during inspections.
• Assist in the documentation of inspection findings and recommendations.
• Assist with the installation of fire alarm equipment and the service, repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems under direct supervision of a licensed technician.
• Assist with diagnosing and evaluating industrial fire protection systems that require servicing as well as troubleshoot issues that arise during inspections under direct supervision of a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.
• Interact with customers, contractors, vendors and other employees in a respectful, professional manner.
• Some overtime, nights, weekends and on-call hours may be required.

• Work experience, training or education in the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of fire protection systems or related equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
• Must be able work at the IAH Airport.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain any applicable state licenses.
• Experience installing Conduit both EMT and Rigid is preferred.

• Work experience, training or education in the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of alarm systems or related equipment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
• Must be able to satisfy Government, Federal and Customs background check requirements.
