Job summary

Firetrol Protection Systems, Inc. invites an entry-level Fire Systems Helper to join a team of over 1200 professionals. You will assist in inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems under direct supervision of licensed technicians.

Responsibilities include assisting with installation, troubleshooting, documenting findings, and interacting with customers and contractors. Training will be provided, and some overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Work experience, training or education in the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of fire protection systems or related equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
• Must be able to work at the IAH Airport and obtain applicable state licenses if required.
• Background checks may be required by Government, Federal and Customs.

• Assist in the performance of routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of fire protection systems - fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems and extinguishing systems under direct supervision.
• Assist in the diagnoses and evaluation of systems that require servicing as well as assisting in troubleshooting issues that arise during inspections.
• Assist in the documentation of inspection findings and recommendations.
• Assist with the installation of fire alarm equipment and the service, repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems under direct supervision of a licensed technician.
• Assist with diagnosing and evaluating industrial fire protection systems that require servicing as well as troubleshoot issues that arise during inspections under direct supervision of a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.
• Interact with customers, contractors, vendors and other employees in a respectful, professional manner.
• Some overtime, nights, weekends and on-call hours may be required.

• Work experience, training or education in the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of fire protection systems or related equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
• Must be able work at the IAH Airport.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain any applicable state licenses.
• Experience installing Conduit both EMT and Rigid is preferred.
• A current Driver’s License is preferred.
• Work experience, training or education in the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of alarm systems or related equipment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
• Must be able to satisfy Government, Federal and Customs background check requirements.
