Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Fire Suppression Service Technician 3 in San Diego, California. The role involves maintaining service routes, conducting inspections, and servicing fire extinguishers and kitchen hood systems. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude and strong communication skills.

The position includes a competitive salary range of $26.54-$36.49 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in confined spaces, including ladder use.
• Experience in fire extinguisher and kitchen hood protection services is preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and handling of dangerous goods is also a plus.

Responsibilities

• Self-schedule and manage appointments with contracted customers.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Identify deficiencies and recommend solutions based on manufacturer guidelines and state/local codes.
• Perform on-site quoting, sales, service, and repairs.
• Upsell and cross-sell products and services to support customer compliance with current fire codes.
• Develop new accounts within the assigned route.
• Meet or exceed performance quotas.
• Prospect potential customers for suppression products and services.
