Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field service professional in Johnson City, TN to perform service and repairs on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot and install equipment from multiple manufacturers, read blueprints, and manage daily service calls with customers.

Ideal candidates have excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

What you will do

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites.
• Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
• Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.

How you will do it

• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Any Manufacturer certifications is a plus; ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20-$26 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
