Job summary

Wiginton Fire Systems is seeking a qualified Pre-Engineered & Extinguisher Technician for our Fort Myers, Florida office to support the Service & Inspections Division in installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing pre-engineered fire suppression systems and portable extinguishers.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent customer service; candidate must work independently in the field and communicate effectively with customers and branch personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs, and installations on pre-engineered fire suppression systems and portable extinguishers.
• Inspect, service, recharge, and maintain extinguishers per NFPA 10 standards (annual, six-year, hydrostatic tests).
• Review building layouts to determine extinguisher placement and code compliance.
• Complete inspection and deficiency reports and service documentation accurately.
• Assist with scheduling inspections and service calls; maintain clean company vehicle and equipment.
