Job summary

Done Right Hood & Fire Safety in Florida is seeking a Fire Suppression & Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to inspect, service, repair, and install commercial kitchen fire suppression systems and portable extinguishers. The role demands attention to safety standards and professional interaction with customers.

You will work independently, map out service calls, maintain equipment, and document inspections using our software.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and driving record required.
• Current state fire suppression permit/license required.
• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience servicing commercial kitchen suppression systems or extinguishers.
• Experience with Ansul, Pyro-Chem, Badger, Buckeye, or CaptiveAire CORE/TANK systems.
• Working knowledge of NFPA standards and fire safety procedures.
• Ability to identify deficiencies, troubleshoot, and perform repairs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to complete electronic service reports and documentation.
• Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain, repair, and install commercial kitchen fire suppression systems.
• Inspect, service, recharge, and maintain portable fire extinguishers.
• Perform inspections and maintenance per NFPA 17A, NFPA 10, manufacturer requirements, and local regs.
• Identify system deficiencies, damaged components, and code violations.
• Troubleshoot systems and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Complete accurate inspection reports and customer records using company software.
• Communicate findings and recommended repairs to customers.
• Identify additional service opportunities and communicate them to the office.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and inventory in good condition.
• Coordinate with scheduling to complete jobs on time.
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Minimize callbacks through thorough inspections and documentation.
