Encore Fire Protection is seeking an entry-level Suppression Service Apprentice to learn the fire protection trade in the field, alongside Journeyman technicians. You will inspect, maintain, and service fire suppression systems while building skills toward licensed technician roles.

You will receive mentorship, paid training, and support toward state licenses or certifications. This is a hands-on entry‑level opportunity for those who enjoy field work and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required to register in apprenticeship programs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in learning a technical trade.
• Ability to take direction and follow through without constant supervision.
• Comfort working at heights and lifting up to 50 pounds daily.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Interest in construction or life safety trades and pursuit of state licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a Journeyman technician on active service and repair jobs.
• Assist with inspection, maintenance, repair, and servicing of fire suppression systems, including kitchen systems and other equipment.
• Follow instructions carefully and complete tasks accurately, safely, and on time.
• Help maintain tools, equipment, and work areas so they are clean and organized.
• Interact with customers, contractors, and team members professionally.
• Participate in training programs to earn state-required licenses or certifications.
