Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician to perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of sprinkler systems. The role requires NICET Level II certification and a valid driver’s license for travel to job sites.

You will work with minimal supervision, document inspection reports, ensure NFPA and local code compliance, and support entry-level technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• NICET Level II certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete tasks.
• Complete documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Travel to job sites as required.
