Elite Fire Services LLC in Ohio is hiring an Apprentice for the Fire Sprinkler division. This entry-level opportunity offers hands-on training to become a licensed Fire Sprinkler Technician with Guardian Fire Protection.

We seek hard‑working, safety‑minded individuals eager to learn a trade in high demand within the fire protection industry. The role offers hourly compensation dependent on experience, potential quarterly bonuses, and shift differentials for after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Willingness to learn fire sprinkler systems and pass certification requirements.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Comfort working on ladders and in tight spaces; safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Assist in service, repair, inspections, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Support technicians with inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge, and standpipe systems.
• Learn and follow NFPA standards, local codes, and company safety procedures.
• Perform basic pipe fitting, cutting, threading, grooving, and assembly tasks under supervision.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting tools and materials to job sites.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at customer locations and company facilities.
• Complete required training programs and safety certifications.
• Accurately document work performed and assist with service reports.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements.

About The Opportunity

Elite Fire Services is currently hiring Apprentice for the Fire Sprinkler division. This is a great opportunity to learn a growing and in demand and essential trade. Guardian will train you to become a licensed, certified Fire Sprinkler Technician. We are looking for hard working and hands‑on individuals that want to learn a new trade in the fire protection industry. The fire protection industry is in high demand, and it can be a long‑term career that can provide a well‑paying income with training, certification and years of quality hard work.

Compensation

• This is an Hourly position, and the pay rate is contingent on experience and background. It will be discussed during the interview process.


• Potential Quarterly Bonuses


• All hours worked between 6 pm and 5 am, paid at the time and half rate for every day of the week

Job Duties

• Assist in the service, repair, inspections, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.


• Support technicians with inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge, and standpipe systems.


• Learn and follow NFPA standards, local codes, and company safety procedures.


• Perform basic pipe fitting, cutting, threading, grooving, and assembly tasks under supervision.


• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.


• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at customer locations and company facilities.


• Complete required training programs and safety certifications.


• Accurately document work performed and assist with service reports.


• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.


• Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements.

Qualifications

• A current valid driver's license with 3 or less points is required.


• Three years of licensed driving experience is required.


• Experience using a variety of hand tools such as channel locks and pipe wrenches.


• Willing to work varied hours, nights, early morning and weekend shift when needed.


• Capable and willing to learn and study about the different fire sprinkler systems in order to pass tests and become certified.


• Must be comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12ft and on lifts.


• Ability to lift up to 70lbs


• Ability to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces


• Skills to communicate well with customers and explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.


• Skills to write well and be very detailed in your write up on service work.


• Must be well organized and be able to keep track of service tickets and process all required documents for each service performed.
