Job summary

Impact Fire Services in Mobile, AL is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to service and install fire protection systems. The role involves identifying issues, maintaining water-based sprinkler systems, and ensuring compliance with NFPA standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of field experience, a valid driver’s license, and licenses such as Backflow or NICET are a plus. Oklahoma license is a plus. We offer training, licensing reimbursements, and a strong team culture.

  • 1-3 years’ field experience in Fire Sprinkler and Backflow systems install and service.
  • NICET Certification and/or Backflow License preferred.
  • Oklahoma Sprinkler License a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify trouble areas and perform service to ensure sprinkler systems operate properly.
  • Install/repair water-based sprinkler systems (Wet, Dry, Pre-action, Deluge, Foam).
  • Install or replace sprinkler components per NFPA guidelines.
  • Repair and service sprinkler and backflow systems.

Arena Fire Protection recently joined the Impact Fire Services team and is a subsidiary company to Impact Fire Services. We are a professional firm providing top tier fire protection services helping to reduce the risk of fire-related incidents for the commercial, residential & industrial industries. We specialize in fire sprinkler, fire alarm, fire suppression, CCTV, access controls and monitoring systems with locations in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi.

We are currently searching for a self-motivated, customer service-oriented Fire Sprinkler Technician. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and a good communicator. This important position will require establishing rapport and building positive relationships with our customers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Identify trouble areas and perform service in an efficient and professional manner to ensure that sprinkler systems are operating properly
  • Responsible for water-based installation and repair of Wet, Dry, Pre-action, Deluge and Foamsystems
  • Sprinkler and Backflow Systems Installation, Repair, & Service
  • Install/hang sprinkler systems and their components per NFPA and engineering guidelines
  • Install or replace wet, dry, pre-action, deluge and foam systems as needed.
  • Repair and/or replace all sprinkler systems components
  • Perform disassembly, repair, and installation of sprinkler and backflow valves (once receiving license)
Job Requirements:
  • 1-3 years’ field experience in Fire Sprinkler and Backflow systems install and service
  • Oklahoma Sprinkler License is a plus
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements
Preferred Qualifications but not required:
  • 3-5 years of proven success in performance of Sprinkler inspection, installation, and service is highly preferred
  • NICET Certification and/or Backflow License
  • The ability to perform inspections of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
