Qualifications

Must have working knowledge of tools
CR-16 certification preferred
High precision workmanship
Willingness to learn about fire sprinkler systems and codes
Strong eye for detail
Understand blueprints, stock lists, and inventory
Excellent judgment and analysis
Highly organized and able to meet construction deadlines
Experience with steel pipe cutting, threading, grooving
CPVC cutting, reaming, welding, and hanging
Basic proficiency in English for safety and on-site communication

Responsibilities

Layout product for installation, stage tools, and execute basic piping installation jobs
Read and understand fire sprinkler blueprints
Employ safety measures while installing a fire safety system
Measure, mark, cut, and thread pipe for installation
Connect fittings and sprinkler heads to pipe, then test for leaks
Stay updated with NFPA fire sprinkler codes
Document all details of the work
