Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions seeks an experienced Fire Sprinkler System Designer in Pennsylvania to join our growing team. You will design automatic fire systems per NFPA 13/14/20/24, read plans, and create detailed HydraCAD drawings integrated with BIM on engineered drawings.

You will perform hydraulic calculations, conduct field surveys, and coordinate with estimating, project management, and fabrication to meet deadlines while ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of fire protection system layout and calculation experience.
• Proficient reading of fire system design drawings and NFPA standards.
• Experience with wet, dry, and pre-action systems; backflows and pumps.
• HydraCAD and 3D coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Read construction documents and design fire sprinkler systems per NFPA 13,14,20,24.
• Create detailed drawings using HydraCAD and BIM on engineered drawings.
• Conduct field surveys and assist with field installation issues.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare fabrication lists.
• Coordinate with estimating, project management, and fabrication teams.
