Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an experienced professional to lead the installation of fire sprinkler systems across multiple sites in California. The role involves supervising crews, coordinating complex projects, and ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.

You will mentor technicians and apprentices, interpret blueprints, and manage site logistics while maintaining safety and quality. A strong driving record is required for travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 9+ years of experience in fire and life safety as a technician or above.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• NICET Level II or above preferred.
• CAL FIRE Sprinkler Fitter License preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler installation practices and codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple jobs and/or crews in installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Coordinate complex projects to ensure timely and efficient execution.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop technicians, leads, and apprentices.
• Independently perform installation using hand tools and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
• Manage job site logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Review and approve documentation and installation reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate effectively with customers, leadership, and internal teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler system installation practices and applicable codes required.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving is required).

Other Duties:

• Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
• Performs other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.

Compensation:

$75k - $125k salary DOE
