Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Mobile, AL is seeking an experienced sprinkler technician to install and commission fire sprinkler systems on diverse job sites. You will interpret blueprints, ensure code compliance, and document work thoroughly.

The role requires working across commercial and industrial projects, traveling to sites, and mentoring junior technicians. A high school diploma and relevant experience are essential, with NICET II preferred; a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician.
• NICET Level II or above preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler system installation practices and applicable codes.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Install fire sprinkler systems independently.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Complete required documentation and installation reports accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Guide and support entry-level technicians and apprentices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
