Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician in Jacksonville, FL to diagnose and repair sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial, and residential settings. You will read blueprints and manuals, troubleshoot issues, and perform on-call service with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3–5 years of field experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to travel as needed. NICET II and Backflow certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Required 3-5 years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler service industry performing service and repair to sprinkler and suppression systems
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work on call rotation, including evenings and weekends to meet customer requirements
• Overnight travel may be required
• Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs
• Must adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
• Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements
• NICET Level II certification is a plus
• Backflow certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and determine equipment issues and repairs
• Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial and residential applications
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals and specs to diagnose problems
• Follow safety guidelines and provide reliable customer service while working independently
