Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician to independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. This role requires technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision, with Journeyman level considered where appropriate and a strong focus on NFPA compliance.

Travel to job sites is required, and you will document workmanship and communicate with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in fire and life safety as apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and service procedures.
• Clean driving record and active driver’s license if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
