Job Summary

Responsible for the service and repair of fire sprinkler piping and piping systems, fixtures, sprinklers, and industrial processing systems.

Div. 115 Pompano Beach, FL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Service and repair of wet fire sprinkler systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, and sprinkler heads.
• Service and repair of dry fire sprinkler systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, and sprinkler heads.
• Responsible for OS&Y valves, including installation of repacking kits.
• Work with metal and plastic pipes (such as PVC and CPVC).
• Service and repair of air compressors and controls.
• Service and repair of fire pumps and controls.
• Secure pipes to structures using clamps, brackets, and hangers with hand tools.
• Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure and observing gauges.
• Adhere to safety procedures.
• Work extended hours or outside normal business hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends.
• Respond to emergency service and repair calls outside normal hours.

Additional Requirements

Pre-employment drug screening and a clean MVR.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; 3-5 years of related experience or training; experience with anti-freeze loops and pre-action systems is a plus; experience reading fire sprinkler plans is preferred.

Computer Skills

Basic computer skills and email proficiency.
