Job summary

Cornet, Inc. is seeking a fire sprinkler service technician to service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair sprinkler systems to NFPA standards. You will inspect and test backflow assemblies, diagnose issues, and coordinate with inspectors and customers.

Positions involve on-site work, maintaining vehicles and tools, and supporting on-call service requests. The role requires high school diploma and 3+ years of sprinkler service/installation experience; NICET certification is preferred or

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 3+ years of fire sprinkler service/installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and NFPA standards.
• Ability to read and interpret system drawings and specifications.
• NICET certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.
• Inspect, test, and repair backflow prevention assemblies, including troubleshooting failures and completing necessary repairs.
• Diagnose system issues and identify required repairs or corrective actions.
• Conduct system testing, flushing, and functional checks.
• Document service activities, deficiencies, and corrective actions accurately.
• Communicate system status and service needs with customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate with inspectors, project managers, and other technicians as needed.
• Maintain service vehicles, tools, and inventory.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Support emergency and on-call service requests as required.
