Century Fire Protection in Clearwater, FL is seeking a skilled fire sprinkler technician responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fire sprinkler systems to ensure NFPA compliance and safe facility operation.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, knowledge of NFPA standards, reading drawings, and a proactive approach to inspections, on-call support, and coordination with inspectors and project managers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 3+ years of fire sprinkler service or installation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and NFPA standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret system drawings and specifications.
  • NICET certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.
  • Diagnose system issues and identify required repairs or corrective actions.
  • Conduct system testing, flushing, and functional checks.
  • Document service activities, deficiencies, and corrective actions accurately.
  • Communicate system status and service needs with customers and internal teams.
  • Coordinate with inspectors, project managers, and other technicians as needed.
  • Maintain service vehicles, tools, and inventory.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Support emergency and on-call service requests as required.

Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, crouching/bending, climbing ladders, and working at heights; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; exposure to varying weather conditions, mechanical systems, and active facilities; overtime and on-call rotation may be required.
