Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Florida is seeking a skilled sprinkler technician to independently service, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial, and construction sites. You will diagnose deficiencies, perform corrective repairs, document work, and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year in the fire and life safety industry, and a clean driving record; NICET Level I or higher is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a sprinkler apprentice or sprinkler technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and service procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Other Duties

• Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
• Performs other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.

Pay

Pay: $18 to $35 depending on certifications and experience. Weekly pay.
