Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a skilled installer for fire sprinkler systems. You will interpret blueprints, install systems, and ensure NFPA and local code compliance on diverse projects.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in the fire and life safety field and NICET Level I or higher is preferred. A clean driving record is required if driving is involved. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth across our nationwide locations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
  • NICET Level I or above preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system installation practices.
  • Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform installation of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
  • Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Accurately and timely complete required documentation and installation reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
  • Travel to job sites as required.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
  • Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
