Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking an entry-level assistant to support service technicians in Cranford, NJ. You will help with maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of fire sprinkler systems, using hand tools and testing equipment under direct supervision.

Responsibilities include transporting tools to job sites, following safety policies, and learning proper service techniques while supporting documentation and reporting as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No minimum experience is required.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work under direct supervision.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.

Pay Rate

$20 to $24 hourly based on experience.
