Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily operations for fire sprinkler service technicians, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to code.
- Oversee installations, inspections, repairs, and maintenance services in compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations.
- Provide field-level technical support for complex jobs and service calls.
- Mentor technicians by offering guidance on safety, troubleshooting, and system performance.
- Monitor and audit work orders, job site reports, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate project logistics including scheduling, task assignments, and parts procurement.
- Track inspection tag updates and ensure accurate red-to-green transitions.
- Act as liaison with parts and supply teams to maintain readiness for field service activities.
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of tools, vehicles, and company assets.
- Enforce safety and quality control measures across field teams.
- Collaborate with leadership on continuous improvement efforts in service efficiency and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter; leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of fire protection codes, particularly NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, 20, and 25.
- NICET Level II in Water-Based Systems preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and team management skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability in high-pressure environments.
- Willingness to be on-call as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Work Environment:
- This role is based in the field with office presence required on Mondays for scheduling and administrative work.
- Exposure to both indoor and outdoor construction sites.
