Position Overview

We seek a dedicated candidate with a strong work ethic to join as a Fire Protection Technician. This role involves assisting in inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and sprinklers under the supervision of experienced technicians. It offers hands-on training to prepare the trainee for certification as a Fire Protection Technician.

Responsibilities

• Inspection & Testing: Assist in inspecting and testing fire alarm systems and sprinklers, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and regulations.
• Maintenance & Repairs: Support maintenance and repair activities, replacing components and troubleshooting issues.
• Documentation & Reporting: Complete detailed reports and maintain accurate records of all activities.
• Training & Development: Participate in training programs and shadow senior technicians to gain practical experience.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow safety policies and ensure all work complies with applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical installation, low voltage, or repair.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights in various weather conditions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay ranges up to $41.40/hour for inspectors and $47.15/hour for service team members, with quarterly bonuses and weekly pay. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, Aflac, FSA, company-paid short-term disability and life insurance, training, 401(k) with matching, tuition reimbursement, paid holidays, and generous PTO.
