Job summary

Cosco Fire Protection in Denver is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Project Sales Representative. You will drive sales, build relationships in the local construction community, and manage projects from quotation through turnover.

The role requires a strong fire sprinkler background, exceptional communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Bachelor's degree preferred; NICET a plus. This is a full-time Denver-based position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of fire sprinkler sales experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, project specs, sprinkler design drawings, and NFPA codes.
  • Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, or engineering (or equivalent work experience).
  • NICET certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and develop sales goals and plans for the contract department, and collaborate with District Management to execute strategies.
  • Locate and qualify targeted projects and foster local customer relationships to drive sales.
  • Engage with industry associations and the customer community to grow the Cosco brand in Denver.
  • Entertain target clients in team and individual settings to build relationships.
  • Contact prospects and qualify buyers of new construction and service contracts via calls and marketing strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and broaden customer relationships through quotations, needs anticipation, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure proposals and contracts are processed and turnover/billing information is provided to operations staff promptly.
  • Seek new customers to expand Cosco's customer base; engage in business development for new accounts.
  • Project management of projects sold; estimate related service work and small projects as needed.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Formulate and develop sales goals and plans for the contract department. Once developed, work collaboratively with District Management to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales goals.

  • Locate & qualify desired & targeted projects.Foster local customer relationships resulting in tangible sales

  • Take an active role in the industry associations and the customer community in order to develop and grow the Cosco brand in this market.

  • Entertainment of target clients strongly encouraged (both in team and individual environments).

  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of new construction and service contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing outlined marketing strategies.

  • Develop, maintain, and broaden customer relationships through quotations, anticipating needs, resolving concerns and complaints, and providing technical support.

  • Ensure adequate attention is given to the attainment of overall profit objectives throughout the sales and execution process.

  • Develop layouts, estimates, calculations, quotations, and proposals.

  • Ensure that all proposals and contracts are processed and that any information required to complete turnover/billing packages is given to operations staff in a timely manner.

  • Seek out new customers to expand Cosco's customer base - willingness to engage in business development to foster new accounts will be required.

  • Project management of projects sold will be required.

  • Estimate related service work & small projects including day-work as required.


Qualifications:


  • 4 or more years of fire sprinkler sales experience required.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, project specifications, sprinkler system design drawings, and applicable NFPA codes and standards.

  • Demonstrated leadership and proven negotiation skills and sales achievements.

  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.

  • Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Completion of college degree in business, construction management, or engineering (or equivalent work experience).

  • Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Previous sprinkler design experience, including performing hydraulic calculations preferred.

  • Fire sprinkler project management skills/experience preferred.

  • Must have the ability to close sales and handle a variety of situations encountered during the sales and project management process.

  • Highly proficient in the use of personal computers including Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role has no formal supervisory responsibility.Ability to provide guidance to operations team members (i.e. design, field superintendent) during execution of projects sold will be required.


Preferred license or certification: None required. NICET certification a plus.
