Job summary

Western States Fire Protection Co. in Arizona seeks a Project Manager and Designer to design, coordinate, and manage fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.

You will prepare finished representations using AutoCAD and related tools and plan initial project scope, materials, and schedules. The role requires coordinating with subcontractors and general contractors, performing hydraulic calculations, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring safety, quality, and

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD or Revit.
• Minimum two years in construction/Fire Protection.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Willing to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Review contract docs and coordinate with subcontractors and GC/owner to design the sprinkler system.
• Design and coordinate fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD/AutoSPRINK/HydraCAD/Revit.
• Create material stock lists for the project.
• Perform hydraulic calculations.
• Mentor and assist in training new designers and PMs.
• Develop initial schedules for preliminary work.
• Coordinate with other departments for handover of project info.
• Monitor progress to meet schedule and budget.
