Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Marianna, FL is seeking a field helper to assist with the installation of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire protection piping and accessories for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings in compliance with current codes.

You will work under a foreman to lay out pipe, connect fittings, attach sprinkler heads, and maintain a clean, safe work site while following company safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 0-6 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret basic piping layouts and perform installations per specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems per specifications
• Lays out strings (pipe) along designated pipeline settings in field.
• Connects pipe, using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
• Attaches revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points along pipeline.
• Communicate with foreman and/or superintendent any safety hazards and discrepancies found on job site.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to company safe working policies and procedures at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
