Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Install Technician to independently install fire sprinkler systems in commercial environments. The role emphasizes adherence to NFPA standards, documentation, and teamwork with customers and internal staff.

The position may serve at Journeyman level, with travel to job sites as required and a focus on safety, quality, and compliance with company procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system installation practices.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Complete required documentation and installation reports accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

The Sprinkler Install Technician is responsible for independently performing installation of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
