Chesapeake Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Install Helper to support Foremen and Fitters on construction and retrofit projects. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on learning of fire sprinkler installation, safety practices, and industry standards.

As part of a Century Fire Protection Company, you will work on active sites in Odenton, MD, with opportunities to grow skills while contributing to safe, reliable fire protection systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 0–2 years of experience preferred.
• Construction or mechanical experience is a plus.
• Basic computer and email skills are required.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Foremen and Fitters with fire sprinkler system installation.
• Carry, stage, and organize pipe, fittings, materials, and tools.
• Cut, thread, and prepare pipe under supervision.
• Assist with pipe hanging, hangers, and sprinkler head installation.
• Support flushing, pressure testing, and system startup.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
• Participate in safety meetings and hands-on training.

Chesapeake Fire Protection is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Install Helper to support our Foremen and Fitters on construction and retrofit projects. This is an entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience while learning fire sprinkler installation, safety practices, and industry standards.

What You’ll Do

• Assist Foremen and Fitters with fire sprinkler system installation.
• Carry, stage, and organize pipe, fittings, materials, and tools.
• Cut, thread, and prepare pipe under supervision.
• Assist with pipe hanging, hangers, and sprinkler head installation.
• Support flushing, pressure testing, and system startup.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Job

This is an active, hands‑on position requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, climbing ladders, and working at heights. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces and changing weather conditions is required.
