Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking an entry-level installer assistant in Ocala, FL to support the installation and repair of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire protection piping and equipment in commercial, residential, and industrial settings.

Candidates need a High School Diploma or GED (or 0–6 months related training) and must pass pre-employment drug screens; overtime may be required. The company offers medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems per specifications.
• Lay out strings (pipe) along designated pipeline settings in the field.
• Connect pipe using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
• Attach revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points along pipeline.
• Communicate safety hazards and discrepancies to foreman or superintendent.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems per specifications.
• Lay out strings (pipe) along designated pipeline settings in the field.
• Connect pipe, using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
• Attach revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points along pipeline.
• Communicate with foreman and/or superintendent any safety hazards and discrepancies found on the job site.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.

Additional Requirements
