Century Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Install Helper to support Foremen and Fitters on construction projects in Hickory, NC. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on training in fire sprinkler installation, safety practices, and industry standards.

You will learn by doing, work with a safety‑minded team, and gain valuable field experience while progressing in a growing company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience preferred.
• Construction or mechanical experience is a plus.
• Basic computer and email skills are required.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Foremen and Fitters with fire sprinkler system installation.
• Carry, stage, and organize pipe, fittings, materials, and tools.
• Cut, thread, and prepare pipe under supervision.
• Assist with pipe hanging, hangers, and sprinkler head installation.
• Support flushing, pressure testing, and system startup.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
• Participate in safety meetings and hands-on training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Assist Foremen and Fitters with fire sprinkler system installation.
• Carry, stage, and organize pipe, fittings, materials, and tools.
• Cut, thread, and prepare pipe under supervision.
• Assist with pipe hanging, hangers, and sprinkler head installation.

The Job

This is an active, hands‑on position requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, climbing ladders, and working at heights. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces and changing weather conditions is required.
