Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Foreman in Hickory, NC to lead field crews and oversee installation of fire sprinkler systems. This hands-on leadership role requires trade knowledge, a commitment to quality, and ensuring projects move safely and efficiently.

You will guide crews, mentor trainees, coordinate with designers, and manage paperwork and scheduling to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years of related fire sprinkler experience and/or training.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler installation and field practices.
• Leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Basic computer and email skills are required.
• Clean MVR is required.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews installing pipe, fittings, hangers, couplings, and sprinklers according to plans and applicable codes.
• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain fire sprinkler piping systems.
• Train and mentor Fitters and Helpers on proper installation techniques.
• Communicate with designers regarding design changes and material shortages.
• Produce accurate red-line drawings for the design team.
• Communicate project and schedule changes with Field Superintendents and Project Managers.
• Complete daily progress reports and required project paperwork.
• Attend project and coordination meetings as needed.
• Ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.
• Immediately report water damage, injuries, accidents, or other incidents.

What You’ll Do
