Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician who will independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and local codes. You will diagnose deficiencies, use testing tools, document findings, and travel to sites while mentoring entry-level technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level II or above required.
• Seattle AS ITT preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and inspection procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
